APF × OCAD U — Communication Design System

For this project, I created a range of visual communication materials including newsletter banners, social media posts, posters, daily signage, and wayfinding assets. Working with the Super Ordinary Lab colour palette and the conference’s existing visual identity, I developed designs that supported promotion, accessibility, and participant navigation throughout the event. The work required balancing expressive visual language with practical communication needs, including legibility, hierarchy, consistency, and adaptability across print, digital, and spatial contexts.

A series of communication and wayfinding materials created for the APF × OCAD U Futures of Creativity & Compassion Nexus Event. These designs supported the event’s visual identity across digital and physical platforms, using the Super Ordinary Lab colour palette to create a cohesive, accessible, and recognizable system for participants, facilitators, and visitors.

These signs helped guide participants through daily programming, workshops, installations, and event spaces. The design focused on wayfinding clarity, accessibility, and consistency across the conference environment.

The door signage system translated complex programming information into clear, accessible visual cues, helping visitors locate workshops, installations, gathering areas, and accessible facilities.
