Windcatcher & Gargoyles leads us down and up a twisting, staggered path, following a rambler that ends up in uncanny and unexpected destinations during her walk. Combining elements from Iranian, Islamic, and Gothic horror literature with local myths and legends from Calderdale, West Yorkshire, the work takes influence from Zār, a custom originating in cultures of the Horn of Africa and nearby regions of the Middle East, which personifies the wind(s) as a spirit(s) that can possess humans.
Wincatcher & Gargoyles was supported by The Tetley.
In this collaboration as a Designer, I created the titles, identity, custom fonts, symbols, and credits, ensuring they aligned cohesively with the main concept and narrative. I also assisted in editing select frames to maintain visual consistency throughout the project.
